I notice many highly ranked people on BSP and i ask them how they do it, it takes me ages to rank up and it is getting harder and harder. can any1 give me some winning strategies or tips for medium or large island capture maps. BTW what rank is the Kikka jet plane unlocked?

You can always boost to the top if you're impatient. All you need to do is put a bunch of Akizukis or Atlantas outside your opponents' shipyards and have them shell the yards. The base rebuilds it, and the ships tear it down again. After going at this for...say, 8 hours overnight, have one side surrender and then you'll get a ton of points.

Some condemn this as cheating...others say it's the only feasible way to get the jets (both unlocked at Fleet Admiral, the highest possible rank).

I say since the jets are nowhere near game-breakers, boosting just is a way to get another set of units. That said, if asked, one should say whether they boosted or not...and if they say they didn't, then they better live up to their rank.

I personally am boosting for the jets so I can write about them in my Battlestations Pacific guide.

I am now a commander. I see HMS Repulse occaisionally. FIRST, Fleet Admiral is rank required to unlock Kikha jet bomber and P80 jet fighter. If they don't change the game it is because the so-called fleet admirals of today who got the rank by boosting mostly don't know how to use them, but some of those who boosted are also good players. For Japs it gives them an airial offense to match say the p51 rocket loadout, and I imagine it will be good at knocking down b29s, the speed of both planes allows the battle edge to be shifted. SECOND, to be good at strategy you need experience against a wide variety of opponents, including getting beaten up by the best teams whilst trying to hang in there, then learn what it was they did to you and why that works. Strategy is like the game of paper, scissors, rock, scissors cut paper rock blunts scissors paper wraps rock, so there often is no guaranteed win from a single strategy, it is just whether you selected a strategy at all then whether it was the one that counters the other teams strategy. HMS Repulse relies too much on ships and doesn't go for the key bases and doesn't play often enough so is falling behind the learning curve.

Stick to ur guns and earn thos points,,az for points earners get az many hits az you can,get a good aim fire single rounds rather than finger locked down on the trigger, Rocket ships will help ya out but dont be greedy with the amount of units or it will cost you the win,,i must say the last game i had was 3 vs 3 and both my team members (note members not mates)had rocket ships thinking greed and lost the game,i was not surpised,,,weak game play that id smash if seen played..
IJN should have thos kamikaze boats (say 10 points each)to make up for the US rocket(at 150 points each)just to even things up..

What I usually do is try and go on Dreadnought Large being U.S and capture the island close to the middle base and spawn LSMs, they can get you alot of points and have a range of 2.1 if you're using the Imperial system.
